Strawberry Orange Coconut Creamsicle Smooooooothie!!

mmmmmmyyyy taste buds are siiiiinging!! Who doesn't love a creamsicle? I mean really. And to top it off, now you have the option of making it into a healthy smoothie! I re-fueled after a run with this. So so so so yummy! (I may have devoured it a little too quickly...) The coconut is what gives it a bit more of that creamy flavour. I had some fresh, raw coconut left in my fridge that needed to be used, and a whole box of satsuma oranges. Oh, and strawberries were looking as sad as can be. (I think I buy too much produce...it always ends up looking sad by the time I eat it, lol.)
If you're not sure how to open a coconut, ask someone in produce at the store to do it for you; it's how I get mine! None of the dirty work, all of the yummy :)
You can use a store-bought vanilla almond mylk for this, but it takes seconds to make the one I always have on hand, & it's cheap, too. Not only that, it's raw, & you're guaranteed more nutrients out of fresher ingredients as opposed to boxed ones. If you don't have Vega on hand, I'm sure this will taste just fine without. I just like to have the added nutrients. Bon appetit!

Ingredients:
1/2 cup raw vanilla almond mylk
1 scoop Vega
1/2 cup chopped fresh coconut
1/2 cup strawberries
3 small satsuma oranges (or just one large orange)

Directions:
1) Puree all ingredients in a blender. Savour, enjoy, love <3

What is Vega?

Vega Wholefood Health Optimizer is a vegan complete protein that is alkaline & easy to digest. It comes in powder form, and has all recommended vitamins & minerals. I don't take a multi-vitamin; I drink Vega ;)

Thanks! Do you think I'd be able to get that at Roots in MR?

You don't say! So you put in all your smoothies? How much?

yep, in all my smoothies I use it. also just discovered today that it is AWESOME in raw chocolate pudding!! :D

it comes with a scoop in the container; I just measure out on scoop for each serving. you can use two scoops, but I find it very filling.
